The company KMB Klebetechnik GmbH was established in 1988 by Klaus Kaiser and Peter Zorowik in Gevelsberg. Since the 70’s, they have both been regarded as specialists in the field of bonding technology and still
run the company to this very day.

In 1992, the company relocated to Dortmund. This is where the company has its administration, production, warehouse and facilities for quality assurance. Over time, KMB has earned itself a reputation as a reliable partner to numerous branches of industry. Today, KMB solutions are used successfully the world over.

Print, equip with adhesive qualities, stamp.

Our machinery park is designed in a way that, with it, we can perform even complex tasks for you. We produce for our clients two-colour, printed, sticking labels on rolls all in one go.

The special feature of the machine, which you can see in the picture to the right: we use it to provide up to 10 stampings in different lengths during a single run. It is ideal if you require complete sets for the equipment of your components. The complete set is then included on a roll, in exactly the order that you require it. This saves time and prevents errors during later processing.

With this machine we print / stamp materials that are up to 2 mm thick (e.g. plastic, metal, film). A cutting tool is required with thicknesses that are more than 1 mm.

Stamping and stamping removal with the OHC

In this film you will see the Original Heidelberg Cylinder (OHC) at work, stamping a one-sided self-adhesive PVC film which will later be used in the glass industry a varnish / layer coating.

With the OHC, sheet products can be stamped precisely, at format sizes of up to 560 x 770 mm. The machine is especially well suited for the production of medium to large runs of sheets on individual components or stamped parts on sheets.

With it, we will stamp paper, foil and thin cardboard for you in a fully automated process. Self-adhesive materials must be covered on both sides. The processing of the stamping components is done manually.

Winders for various materials

Using sophisticated technology, we will cut for you roll to roll – this silicone paper, for example. But we will also muster for you solutions of paper, film and thin foams (up to 2 mm), tissue and rubberised materials which are at tailor-made width and length.

The maximum external diameter is 800 mm, the maximum working width 1,600 mm. The features: with material fitted with adhesive, it is also possible to cut open horizontally. With a second shaft, materials can also be laminated and directly narrow-cut.

Precise mold components with the rolling stamp

In this film you will see the stamping of an acrylic foam, subsequently to be finished as a nameplate. The exposed adhesive is stamped, then the waste is removed; finally, it is wound on itself. One feature at the end of the clip: the back side of the silicone paper can also be printed (e.g. for the batch number). This is done in a single operation, thus incurring no further costs and reducing your logistics concerns.

With this machine, we will stamp moldings for you roll by roll. We can process a roll width of up to 330 mm with a roll diameter of up to 900 mm. The strengths of these latest generation rolling stamps are their high processing speed and their versatility. With them we produce medium to large batches; and stamp roll by roll, sheet by sheet or as individual components. Furthermore, with this precision stamp we manufacture one-sided as well as two-sided, as well as adhesive and non-adhesive materials, at a thickness of up to 3 mm.

We stamp film and foam moldings, as well as materials equipped with exposed adhesive properties and rubberised materials, at precisely the same quality.

Tool-free stamping process

Here you see high tech at its best. KMB’s tool-free stamping process is ideal for the production of pre-production parts or small series. The non-contact stamping also allows for the processing of difficult materials at a thickness of up to 1 mm (depending on the material in question), whic cannot be achioeved using conventonal methods.

Acrylate adhesive, paper, cardboard, PET, PU , thin foams (up to 1 mm) and even rubber adhesive, hot melt and PP can be stamped at a width of up to 250 mm. The length of the stamping is usually up to 250 mm, but can be expanded up to a length of 99 metres.

The advantages of the KMB tool-free stamping procedure: high accuracy (depending on dimensions), contact-free processing, quick dimension changing if necessary, there is no need for stamping tools – you will save tool production costs.

Kiss-cutting and punching out sheets

With this cutting platen we can handle formats of up to 1 x 1.40 metres for you. The kiss-cutting and punching takes place in a single operation. Thus for example grip tabs for easy removal of substrate can be incorporated. The large format allows multiple uses to be precisely produced in one cutting process. We develop the suitable cutting tool for you from a functional as well as an economic viewpoint.

The fields of application of the cutting platen are varied. The materials can be glued either single or double-sided (and covered). We punch cardboard for you (up to about 1mm), films (up to around 1 mm), foam (up to approx. 5 mm) and adhesive (up to nearly 2 mm).
